Chapter 3 emphasizes that we are not meant to live in isolation; we need others to help us see our blind spots. We connect this to shifting from Accountability to Ownership.


I lived most of my life as a loner. But when sudden adversity struck, I realized I desperately needed the right people. We all have blind spots where pride keeps us from seeing the truth, and we need others to help us see them.


In business, isolation looks like operating in silos. It looks like waiting for top-down "accountability" instead of taking cross-functional ownership.


True high performance is a team sport. To execute effectively, we must shift the culture from external accountability (being managed) to internal ownership (driving the outcome). We do not need to be micromanaged because we own the outcome.
